This is the No Parlez project, a cover version of Rutherford Chang’s We Buy White Albums project. The current count is on the main website page. This new Issue is a prequel - ISSUE ZERO - and is being launched as part of THE INCOMPLETENESS THEOREM in Deptford on Saturday 19 October 2024. ISSUE ZERO features a new interview with Rutherford about his project, with the zine's white cover a nod to the White Album, stained from the bottom of a pint glass, adorned with a sticker and numbered with ink pad. Elsewhere, the zine reflects back on the origins of starting to buy copies of No Parlez, the Covid years and the emergence of the ZERO PLAN zine. This issue is about white, but also about NO, or non, about the little encounters sparkling off the project, the other ideas it generates and the general air of liberation and unknown futures of the No Parlez project. ISSUE ZERO - 24-pages full colour, 25x17cm, beautifully printed by our friends at NewspaperClub in Glasgow. Materials include olive oil, FATCANFLUB sticker (NOFUNCLUB) with Japanese contact number, eyebrow hairs (mostly white), FRANK WAS RIGHT sticker, cellotape, beermat, stickers, doctored scalpel knife wraps and 10a blade shape cut from No Parlez with 10a blade, doodles, s(not) (kidding), mini-postcard marking Mark Goodall’s White Album book and various white stickers.
